MHRA Safety Alert February 21 - When children receiving replacement therapy for adrenal insufficiency are being switched from hydrocortisone tablets to Alkindi granules, parents or carers should be informed of the need to be extra vigilant for symptoms of adrenal insufficiency.
PRAC advises that a healthcare professional letter should advise doctors to counsel carers to observe for symptoms of adrenal insufficiency during first week after switching to Alkindi & increase the dose of Alkindi granules if the child develops symptoms of adrenal insufficiency click here
