Vortioxetine is recommended as an option for treating major depressive episodes in adults whose condition has responded inadequately to two antidepressants within the current episode.
People whose treatment with vortioxetine is not recommended within the NICE guidance, but was started within the NHS before this guidance was published, should be able to continue treatment until they and their NHS clinician consider it appropriate to stop.
