Bile acid malabsorption,diarrhoea & GI symptoms (off-label use)
The dose prescribed is variable and will be communicated by the prescriber, but the maximum dose is 1875mg (3x625mg) twice daily, but this dose is rarely required. Ordinarily, patients are titrated from 625mg once or twice daily. Prescribing will not be handed over to the GP until the dose is stable (with allowance for patients to self-titrate according to symptoms).
